Multi-Domain (SAN) SSL

One single SSL to protect hundreds of domains, subdomains, or even a complete environment

Multi-Domain SSL certificates were created to encrypt multiple websites. This can be useful for you in many ways. Your company may have multiple different domains that you wish to secure on a single certificate, or it may have the same domain with different TLDs (Top-Level Domains). With Multi-Domain SSL certificate, you can save money, and it eases the administrative burden of keeping up with individual SSL certificates and managing their installation, updating and renewals.

Multi-Domain SSL certificates work by first securing the main domain, and then each additional domain is covered as a SAN (Subject Alternative Name). When the SSL Certificate is purchased and the CSR is filled out, each website that will be encrypted is entered as a SAN. While the site seal and certificate "Issued To" information will only list show the primary domain name, but all your domains and subdomains will be listed on the same certificate.
